Worship music on purpose, with a purpose.
Ember is the blending of the musical talents and passion for worship of two extraordinary women. Between them, Elita and Bernice have passed through many struggles, including childhood abuse, teenage pregnancy, car accidents, family crisis, and suicide. Longtime worship leaders, they have learned the significance of crying out to God in the midst of life’s darkest moments in a very real way, and have a genuine desire to help others come to a place of healing and worship by sharing their stories and faith through the worship that has been born from these deep places. Combined with the gifted piano playing of Elita’s dad, Danny, it is their goal to raise hope by raising their voices in praise, and teaching others to do the same. Their debut album, “Jesus, I’m Home”, recorded in Nashville, TN this summer, and made it’s official debut on September 5, 2013. CD’s are available through Ember at any time, including at all events, and the music is also available for download on iTunes and Spotify. Five dollars from every CD sold, as well as all proceeds from every download of the title track, will go to support the ministry of Voice Today, International.
I Timothy 1:7 says, “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you”
A small, glowing piece of coal or wood, as in a dying fire. A hot fragment of wood or coal that is left from a fire and is glowing or smoldering.
Inside an ember lies the choice of life or death. You can step on it, and kill the fire forever. Or you can fan it into a flame, and let your light shine. That thing that maybe you thought would kill you may be the very thing that sparks your life into the brightest flame anyone has ever seen.
